In memorial: Senator, ALF-CIO President, Ed Mayne 1945-2007
Senator Ed Mayne: Legislator, Statesman, Champion of the People, and Family Man, passed away in his home yesterday after fighting lung cancer for 8 months. Indeed the entire state lost a great man with his passing.
Ed Mayne was a gentle giant who would fight to the end for what he believed was right. He was a highly regarded and skillful negotiator who many may have disagreed with but no one lost respect for.
Our hearts and prayers go out to the Mayne family during this time of sorrow; but please know that he is in a better place.
